Abstract

This paper proposes a structured methodological approach to practice-led research by applying Basarab Nicolescu's transdisciplinary framework to the development of immersive multisensory installation art. Drawing upon the RimbaScape project—a therapeutic art installation co-developed by artists, scientists, and medical practitioners—this study demonstrates how concepts such as Levels of Reality, the Logic of the Included Middle, and the Hidden Third can guide both creative processes and empirical inquiry. The paper contributes a clear and replicable method for bridging artistic intuition with scientific empiricism in cross-disciplinary environments, offering critical insights for researchers engaged in the convergence of art and science.
