About the Journal

The Online Journal of Islamic Management and Finance (e-ISSN: 2785-9398) is a blind peer-reviewed journal published bi-annually (April and October) by Department of Islamic Management and Finance,  Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya. It is an online and open access journal comprising manuscripts in Malay, English and Arabic languages. OJIMF welcomes manuscript submissions that cover multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary studies associated with Islamic management, which may range from management, administration, marketing, entrepreneurship, human resource management, ethics, and Islamic finance which may range from accounting, finance to banking in Asia Pacific. The Online Journal of Islamic Management and Finance (OJIMF) is currently accepting manuscripts for publication such as literature review, conceptual framework, case studies, theoretical and empirical research papers. It is indexed in MySitasi. OJIMF is also indexed in ARCIF starting 2025. At present, OJIMF does not charge for the submission or processing of articles.

Call For Papers: The International Convention on Islamic Management 2024

We invite scholars and practitioners to submit papers for the 3rd International Convention on Islamic Management 2024, centered on the theme "Managing Islamic Wealth for a Sustainable Future." This convention will explore the role of Islamic management in safeguarding Islamic wealth and promoting sustainable practices for future generations. Scheduled for December 18, 2024, the event will cover a wide range of topics, including Islamic finance and ESG, Waqf, Zakat, Takaful, Islamic tourism, fintech, green economy and finance, Islamic business ethics, and more. Vol. 6, No. 2 (2026)  was published online on 22 October 2026 and features eight scholarly articles authored by researchers from Malaysia, India, Pakistan, United Kingdom and Nigeria. The contributing authors are affiliated with the Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya; Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences, IIUM; Centre of Quran and Sunnah Studies, UniSZA, Faculty of Accountancy, UiTM, Faculty of Business, Hospitality and Technology, Universiti Islam Melaka (UniMEL), Malaysia; Aliah University, India; University of Punjab, Pakistan; University of Cumbria, University of Gloucestershire and Ulster University, United Kingdom;  and Nungu Business School, Nigeria. The articles address a diverse range of themes, including Islamic work ethics, service quality, job satisfaction, Islamic green financing, Islamic profit rate hedging, zakat and waqf, sukuk, hajj savings and accounting information system which reflect contemporary issues in Islamic management and finance.
